Academic Editing Services
You’ve done the research—now your writing needs to reflect it. Whether you're preparing a journal article, thesis, book chapter, or report, your work needs to be clear, well structured, and aligned with academic and publishing standards.
I offer academic copyediting and proofreading for researchers working across a range of fields, including education, ESL, behavioral science, and human–computer interaction. I specialize in supporting multilingual authors who want to express their ideas confidently and clearly in English.
This service is a good fit if your document is nearly complete but needs refinement at the sentence level. I can help you
improve clarity, concision, and readability
correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
ensure consistency in terminology, citations, and formatting
follow academic or journal-specific style guidelines (APA, CMOS, or others)
I work with
academic researchers preparing journal articles, theses, and chapters
multilingual authors seeking language support without losing their voice
graduate students preparing dissertations or submitting work for publication
faculty and researchers writing reports or collaborative publications
university presses and academic publishers
I edit in Microsoft Word using Track Changes, and I provide two versions of your manuscript: one showing all tracked changes, and a clean version with edits accepted. You'll also receive a tailored style sheet, which can be passed along to a proofreader if needed.
Before I begin, I’ll confirm the scope and schedule of the work in writing. I treat all projects as confidential and am happy to sign an NDA if required.
Rates and scheduling
Fees are based on word count, manuscript condition, and turnaround time. I follow the EFA rates chart and the CIEP’s suggested minimum rates and will provide a tailored quote after reviewing a sample of your manuscript.

“The feedback and comments were very good and pointed out so many important points that I did not see in the first place, which added significant value to my paper.”
